But while most people associate the island with turquoise seas and golden beaches, some of the most spectacular locations are the charming villages nestled deep into the Serra <strong>Tramuntana mountain range <\/strong>&#8211; a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Think winding cobbled streets, stone clad buildings, romantic little caf\u00e9s and restaurants and tiny boutiques selling local produce and artisanal goods. Sounds dreamy? Well, it is. To kickstart your Tramuntana adventure, we compiled a small list of our <strong>favourite villages to visit.<\/strong> So, sit back, kick up your feet and start planning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Valldemossa &#8211; the ultimate Mediterranean gem<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only a stone\u2019s throw away from the capital Palma, <strong>Valldemossa is a gem perched atop a hillside <\/strong>with sweeping views of the sea beyond. If you\u2019re looking to return home with a special treat,<strong> you can visit the Son Moragues<\/strong> agricultural estate on the edge of town and stock up on organic jams and olive oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dei\u00e0 &#8211; a mountainside town bursting at the seams with charm<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award for the <strong>most picturesque town <\/strong>on the island goes to Dei\u00e0. It\u2019s equally as stunning as Valldemossa, but with that <strong>extra special something<\/strong> &#8211; a winning combination of culture, scenery and lifestyle. Indeed, we love visiting Dei\u00e0 for its unique cultural offering, which includes a trip to the home of legendary poet Robert Graves. Just outside of Dei\u00e0, we recommend a sunset visit to Son Marroig, from where you can admire one of Mallorca\u2019s best views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>S\u00f3ller &#8211; a classic stop on the sightseeing trail<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everything about S\u00f3ller screams authenticity<strong>. The town itself is nestled in the \u2018valley of oranges\u2019 <\/strong>&#8211; one of the greenest and most vibrant stretches of land on Mallorca. Unlike the other towns in the Serra de Tramuntana, <strong>Banyalbufar is a well-kept secret, and thus less busy &#8211; even at the height of holiday season. Wine lovers in particular will fall in love with B<\/strong>anyalbufar and it\u2019s around 2000 terraces hewn into the slopes by the Moors in the 10th century. All these town have their own unique charm, and we honestly couldn\u2019t say which one we love most.
