Here are our suggestions to get you out and about.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In December visit the Christmas markets in Mallorca<\/strong>, where you\u2019ll discover the most original gifts, and the most delicious hand-made Christmas fare. <strong>Don\u2019t miss the Palma markets held in the Pla\u00e7a d\u2019Espanya and the Pla\u00e7a Major<\/strong>, and the craft stalls in the Ramblas.<\/p>\n<p>We also encourage you to <strong><a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.illesbalears.es\/ing\/majorca\/festivals2.jsp?SEC=FIE&amp;id=00001323&amp;lang=0004\">visit the traditional nativity scenes<\/a><\/strong> that numerous churches and town and city halls display for the public to visit over the festive period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Christmas Eve it\u2019s the custom for all the family to gather for dinner together<\/strong>. Our Pabisa Bali, one of the <a title=\"Hotels in Playa de Palma\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pabisa.com\/en\/hotels-playa-de-palma\">hotels in Playa de Palma that\u2019s open over Christmas<\/a>, will be putting on a big buffet-dinner with cocktails, followed by with a big party with live music. On that night, if you\u2019ve dined with us, you\u2019ll find a very special gift when you get back to your room.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Then comes the eagerly-awaited 25th December, Christmas Day!<\/strong> A red-letter day that\u2019s celebrated with a big lunch in which suckling pig, turkey and sopa rellena are the main dishes. And for dessert, there has to be <a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Turr%C3%B3n\">turr\u00f3n (nougat)<\/a> and polvorons: <strong>have you tried them yet?<\/strong> On that evening we\u2019ll be holding a tasting session to give everyone a chance to taste torr\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>And if you\u2019ve a mind to <strong>ring in the New Year in style<\/strong>, Mallorca\u2019s the perfect place to come to.
