Many German citizens in Mallorca come to the island to enjoy the delightful climate and scenery, but after a few days on the Mediterranean diet they tend to miss the way food tastes at home. For example, very close to our hotel in Playa de Palma we\u2019ll come across Gourmet Markt<\/strong>, an Edeka supermarket in Mallorca** situated in Ca\u2019n Pastilla\u2019s La Ribera complex (at Carrer de Marbella, 15, units 26-29). In this German establishment you\u2019ll find foods of every kind sourced from Germany<\/strong>. Its specialties? Also from Bavaria\u2019s capital city, they periodically receive a selection of meat products from famous butchers\u2019 chain VinzenzMurr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re famous for offering the best selection of drugstore items Europe-wide. Their stores also stock all kinds of German brands in the perfumes, stationery, toys, homewares and multimedia line.<\/p>\n

Similarly, there\u2019s a good spread of Lidl supermarkets in Mallorca serving not only Palma but also Palmanova, Inca, Manacor and Campos. This chain is known for its low prices and spectacular range of groceries and greengroceries, household products and a bazaar section stocking an ever-changing range of eye-catching hardware items, typically lawnmowers, car mats and the like.<\/p>\n

The supermarkets in the Mundi-Culinario chain are known for their amazing variety of German-branded sauces, spices and teas<\/strong>, indispensable for those who want to taste the genuine flavours of German gastronomy. These supermarkets are present in the tourist resorts of Santany\u00ed, Cala Rajada and Santa Pon\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

Moreover, in Can Picafort we\u2019ll come across Deutscher Lebensmittel Discount, a supermarket stocking low-cost German products<\/strong> whose proprietors have trimmed overheads to a minimum, enabling them to offer prices 20 to 30% lower than their competitors.<\/p>\n
