Moving around Mallorca from Palma Airport

If you are wondering how to move around Mallorca and reach your destination from Palma de Mallorca Airport, in this post you will find all the necessary information.

Mallorca is a small island, so no distance is too long. The most quick and flexible way to get from A to B is by car, but there are other options perfectly tailored to every traveler's needs. If you choose to go by car, you can rent one at any of the many companies you’ll find in the airport.

Destination: Palma and Playa de Palma

You can go to Palma and Playa de Palma by bus. The City Transports Company of Palma (EMT) offers two options from the airport: Line 1, which goes directly to Palma; and the Playa de Palma bus, which is Line 21. A Palma Airport bus costs 3€, and they leave every 15 and 30 minutes, respectively. There are different schedules for the high and the low season.

Furthermore, distances in Mallorca are so short that getting a taxi from the Palma de Mallorca airport is not expensive at all (schedules and rates).

Once in Palma, you can move around thanks to the EMT buses or the subway.

    Destination: villages of Mallorca

If you are going to a village in Mallorca, you must first reach the city center of Palma, as we have indicated above, and get off at Plaza España. There you will find the central station, called Intermodal Station, a hub for all public transport services: train, metro and all of Mallorca’s buses. This transportation network connects all the towns and villages of the island. Check the routes, fares and schedules here.

    Shuttle service in Palma airport

If you don’t want to have to worry about anything, many companies offer shuttle services that allow you to choose the best option for getting to any destination. Be sure to book in advance.
