All Pabisa hotels have achieved the Travelife Gold certificate of sustainability

Every Pabisa Hotels establishment has been awarded the important Travelife sustainability certificate, with backing from the European Union Eco-innovation Initiative and approved by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

The Travelife Gold seal awarded to the Pabisa Bali, Pabisa Orlando, Pabisa Sofía and Pabisa Chico hotels in Playa de Palma guarantees environmental, social and economic sustainability. It also means that all the hotels in the chain are included in the Travelife Collection online catalogue with the Travelife Gold seal.

Environmental sustainability

At Pabisa Hotels we are deeply committed to the environment and as a result we undertake many measures in order to reduce the effect that our activity has upon the environment as much as possible. We also wish to contribute to improving the image of the resort of Playa de Palma and Majorca, and that includes protecting the environment.

With environmental sustainability in mind, we carefully manage any waste produced, we monitor the levels of noise generated, we have water and energy saving protocols and systems in place throughout the hotels and at our office headquarters. An example of this being the hotel Sofía which has a geothermal system which produces all the hot water needed. We also purchase produce and supplies with the minimum packaging possible and give priority to local and organic produce.

Supporting the local economy and society

We take our social and economic responsibilities seriously as we also want to achieve sustainability in these areas. For this reason, we actively support local businesses and initiatives, along with the local culture of the island of Majorca and the Balearic Islands.

We also take an active interest in caring for the wellbeing of our staff and clients, as well as that of the local community where we run our business. As part of our policy of contributing to the quality of the urban environment, Pabisa Hotels has recently signed an agreement with the Balearic Government Tourism Council and with Palma City Council with the aim of improving three streets in Playa de Palma. We will soon be able to show you the results.

ISO 9001 for the hotels and office headquarters

2017 has also been the year that Pabisa Hotels were awarded the ISO 9001 quality certificate. The accreditation includes the four hotels that form part of the chain, with a total of 762 rooms and 1,524 beds, and the company headquarters.
